Monroe Falcons Hockey Story

With the assistance and dedication of students, parents, community members, teachers and district administration, Monroe Township High School (MTHS) fielded its first Ice Hockey program as a school club during the 2005-2006 school year. The club team practiced two times per week at Pro Skate Arena in Monmouth Junction and competed in 6 Junior Varsity games, going 5-1 in the process. The following year was the teams inaugural Varsity season where they collected their first Varsity victory in their first Varsity game versus the Bees of Bayonne High School by a score of 6 - 5. The team finished their inaugural season with a 10-7-1 overall record, facing a mix of Varsity and Junior Varsity competition. The team followed its first season with a state tournament appearance the following year, suffering defeat to Brick Memorial in the Public A Round of 32. That season also marked the teams first official Junior Varsity season, showing immediate growth in Ice Hockey at MTHS. The Falcons continue to build and grow and would like to thank everyone who has supported and continues to support us!
